GNOME settles patent lawsuit for all OSI licensed projects

Today the GNOME Foundation announced that they have settled a patent lawsuit between Rothschild Patent Imaging and GNOME. This is an important development as Rothschild has a long history of such lawsuits, and any single lawsuit against an open source project could be quite devestating. Fortunately, the settlement included an agreement by Rothschild to not file any future suits against any project licensed under an OSI-approved license.
